Nordby Construction Participates in Napa Valley Barrel Auction

The 2024 Napa Valley Barrel Auction, an annual kick-off event for the Collective Napa Valley’s Auction Weekend, is a uniquely exceptional way to experience world-class wines of the region. Nordby Construction proudly attended and participated in this prestigious event involving local fine wine, gourmet cuisine, and high-stakes bidding—all in support of an important cause.

Attended by 1,600 guests, the “Toast of the Town” food and wine extravaganza was held at the 33-acre HALL Wines estate in St. Helena. Attendees sipped on unreleased, small-production wines straight from the barrel that will be bottled in the coming year, sampled and bid on wines from 80 Napa Valley wineries, and savored signature dishes from top local chefs.

Not only did the event highlight the unparalleled quality and diversity of Napa Valley wines, it demonstrated the community’s dedication to ensuring the well being of local youth. Collectively, the weekend series of events raised an estimated $4.8 million. Proceeds benefited mental health services for children in Napa Valley to provide crucial support throughout the community.

An innovative, philanthropic membership program of Napa Valley Vintners, Collective Napa Valley brings wine lovers together to raise funds for the good of the community. Over the past 40 years, members have raised more than $230 million to improve the lives of 100,000 residents. Fundraising efforts primarily focus on health care and youth development.

As part of our long-term commitment to community involvement, we were thrilled to participate in this important event. Bringing along clients and industry partners allowed us to strengthen our relationships and share in the communal spirit that defines Napa Valley.
