Supporting Our Community: Healdsburg Food & Wine Experience

Last updated on July 29, 2024.

Celebrating exceptional food and wine with exceptional clients and industry partners is a day well spent in our book. When the event also generates substantial support and recognition for our local community, it becomes all the more remarkable.

A town of less than 12,000 people, Healdsburg has become a top destination for food and wine enthusiasts. The Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience returned in mid-May for its third year to highlight the region’s vibrant culinary diversity, sustainable farming practices, and deep connection to the agriculture of Sonoma as it relates to the rest of the world.

Attended by more than 4,000 people, the Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience showcased the “Makers Behind the Magic,” including farmers, growers, winemakers, and chefs, through tastings, seminars, and culinary demonstrations. In addition to providing an economic boost to the region, the burgeoning event fosters a lasting impact through its support of local organizations.

This year’s event raised over $143,000 benefiting multiple foundations and nonprofits, including Farm to Pantry, the Sonoma County Grape Growers Foundation, and the Healdsburg Future Farmers of America (FFA). These initiatives are vital in supporting vineyard workers, their families, and aspiring young farmers from the local high school FFA chapter, ensuring a brighter future for our agricultural community.

At Nordby Construction, we believe in the power of community. Our participation in the Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience goes beyond attending an enjoyable event. It fosters the spirit of community, collaboration and connection. We are honored to support and celebrate the talented makers, chefs, and winemakers who contribute to the unique tapestry of Sonoma County.
