Bedecked in Western flair, the 17th annual Harvest STOMP was held at the breathtaking Viña Esperanza estate located in the center of the 30-acre “Vineyard of Hope” in Calistoga on August 24th. Hosted by Linda and Ron DeKoven, the event brought together an extraordinary gathering of vineyard professionals, winery owners, grape growers, and devoted Napa Valley supporters. The memorable evening was filled with lively raffles and auctions, hard-to-find fine wines, and a shared dedication to preserving the agricultural heritage that makes Napa Valley truly special.

Nordby Construction was honored to sponsor and participate in this important community fundraiser that benefits the Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG) and the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation (FWF). Although the final fundraising totals for 2024 are yet to be confirmed, proceeds in excess of $3 million are anticipated. Beyond financial contributions, this event represents the community’s unwavering commitment to the land, the people, and the future of Napa Valley. Harvest STOMP helps support 1,500 growers, 45,000 acres of vineyard land, and 8,000 farmworkers throughout the Napa Valley.

Funds are equally split between the two organizations, providing crucial support for their ongoing work in education, advocacy, and sustainability. NVG works to protect agricultural land, elevate sustainable farming practices, and address critical concerns such as fire, water, soil, and climate challenges. Meanwhile, the FWF offers life-changing education and professional development opportunities for vineyard workers, including adult literacy programs, management training, and mentorship initiatives aimed at cultivating the next generation of industry leaders.

While Harvest STOMP is known for its festive atmosphere, this beloved event also reminds us of the incredible impact we can make when we come together for a common cause. Nordby Construction extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating Napa Valley’s agricultural roots and honoring the men and women who work tirelessly in the vineyards. Your generosity fuels our shared vision for a thriving, sustainable future, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
