Our commercial construction team is growing and is looking to hire a Project Engineer to support our project teams as soon as February 2023. The commercial team works on wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, hotels, warehouses, private membership buildings, offices and labs. The right individual for this role is curious, humble, ambitious and works well with others. Ideally, any prospective candidates have family, friends, or deep ties to the North Bay – we don’t want to have anyone feel isolated when moving to the Santa Rosa area. Our ownership has a clear understanding that we all work to earn a living and to take care of our personal commitments and future – with this in mind, we strive to find the right mix of work commitments and personal commitments.
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Manager and Project Superintendent with all aspects of the project
- Manage and maintain all project documents: RFIs, Submittals, Construction/ Permit Drawings, Specifications, Schedule Issuances, etc.
- Professional communication and coordination with project partners, design team, subcontractors, jurisdictions/ inspectors, vendors, and clients
- Review, qualify, and process subcontractor proposals or change orders
- Create and maintain logs and marked up plan set to track field progress and installation
- Leverage company tools and technology to document field existing and as-built conditions, not limited to photography
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related major (Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Architectural Engineering, etc.)
- Completion of one internship or co-op
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Has a good mood and is eager to learn more
- Has a general understanding of construction documents
- Has a general understanding of fundamental construction principles
