Chipping in for Our Community: The Nordby Golf Invitational
Annual Tradition Aims To Surpass $2 Million Raised
Blending golf with the spirit of giving, the Nordby Golf Invitational has stood as a beacon of local involvement and charitable dedication since 1989. The event was started by Nordby Companies founder Wendell Nordby as a meaningful way to support the community where his burgeoning business was thriving.
Wendell and his wife Nancy have long been dedicated to serving their community, including tireless, hands-on efforts during the Sonoma County fires. Through their non-profit, OTHERS, they ensure that all event proceeds go directly to supporting shelter, food, and youth programs via the Salvation Army in Santa Rosa.
Over $1.5 million has been raised collectively to date, and this year’s event is expected to surpass the $2 million mark.
The Nordby Golf Invitational is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of community and generosity. It’s a day where we all come together to give back, demonstrating that when we unite for a cause, we can make an extraordinary impact.
